In a flash the whole world lit up,
A blast so loud that it shook us,
To the crust, to our core, through the mantle,
Lighting the fire in the centre.

We made our tracks from the old town,
Headed to the top of the mountains.
Above the dust clouds ballooning,
A sulphurous light was blooming.

The schools were lost and burning,
